Hi, I'm Kate
I'm a writer, certified arts therapist and a mental health trainer. I bring sensitivity, compassion and a deep respect for people and their stories to all of these roles.
In 2009, I trained in drama and movement therapy (a type of psychotherapy) an approach which explores our inner world through creativity and play; through myths, metaphors, symbols and stories. All of the rich ways we express ourselves in the language we use to speak and move.
I have worked extensively with children, young people and adults, and in recent years have supported frontline staff working with adults with complex needs in mental health, homelessness and housing support services in Brighton and Sussex.
I believe that telling our story, directly or indirectly, sets us free and helps us make sense of the world and our relationships in it and with it.
